I got my start in politics at an early age, as campaigns and advocacy are a bit of a family affair. As a matter of fact, my parents first met in a George H.W. Bush field office back in 1979! I practically grew up in campaign offices, making phone calls and addressing envelopes in between learning addition & subtraction and working on my phonics. Since college, I’ve staffed a number of congressional and gubernatorial campaigns as well as engaged in grassroots-level single-issue advocacy. The most rewarding experiences, by far, are when we successfully break down artificial barriers, foster collaboration between seemingly unlikely allies, and bring to fruition the previously untapped potential of a situation. When I’m not working to help build a better America, I’m exploring the outdoors and being a total history nerd.
