My path to civic engagement began long before I could cast a ballot. As a teenager, I found myself learning about current events and realizing that even without a vote, I still had a voice. I started contacting my elected officials and joining student groups that supported the causes I cared about.
That early empowerment sparked a lifelong journey to becoming an active and engaged citizen. My passion for involvement turned into a full-blown commitment to helping young people find their voices, claim their power, and shape the future of their communities.
Before joining Unify America, I spent years leading national civic leadership programs, supporting student leaders, and helping higher education institutions build cultures of participation. I’ve worked alongside students and administrators to expand access to civic opportunities and grow a more connected, collaborative democracy—one campus at a time.
When I’m off the clock, you can find me museum-hopping in Houston, cooking up something ambitious with my partner while my cat judges us, or curating the perfect playlist for any mood or occasion.
