Conversations with my father about ethics, faith, and God deeply shaped my formative years. As both an educator with a Ph.D. in world religions and a Protestant minister, he encouraged big questions without imposing rigid beliefs—nurturing my natural curiosity to explore complex issues without clear answers.
A complex issue today is Americans learning to navigate disagreements in our diverse democracy, particularly around problems with no single correct answer. The pursuit of potential solutions drew me to Unify America's work.
As a member of the Deliberative Democracy team, I leverage my background in education, social services, and community organizing. And I aim to bridge the gap between democratic theory and real-world decision-making by applying my educational expertise and people skills.
